could someone simplify this very simple drawing for me?
how do you actually do this? im guessing its just a cable attached to the clutch pedal?

the bite is really high what way do i turn the nut? tighten it or loosen it off?

Open the bonnet, and locate the clutch lever. Feel down the clutch cable and you will feel a round joint. On the joint, there is an adjustment wheel. Twist this to adjust the clutch.

Hi Thanks for the info on adjusting the clutch,took five minutes ,cured the slipping .I think it must be a bad design there is no locking nut,so it will need doing again ,when vibration makes the adjustment nut move.Saved me a small fortune,thought I would after pay for new clutch.

I posted a problem earlier but now the solution...

The diagram shown above does NOT show the gearbox linkage on top of the clutch release cable. It is necessary to removed the clip from the right hand link and swing it clear to the left. This improves access to the adjustment. In my case the black plastic "nut" was solid and unmovable. I soaked it in WD40 and with the aid of a blunt screwdriver managed to get it moving. This could have split the plastic nut but once free it was easy to screw back the nut and get the 1" pedal clearance. This DID fix the slipping clutch.

Anyone having ago should not be daunted by the cluster of mechanics and a possibly frozen nut. I find it rather strange that Citroen have not utilised a hex nut that would accept and spanner!? It took me a couple of hours to crack the problem but no thanks to the designers.

There appears to be a lot of clutch related problems which must be related to the relatively easy adjustment fix... Check that before any drastic action.

my clutch has just starting slipping, i cant accelerate without the revs shooting up. ive had to take the car off the road for now but i will try this when i get a chance before i fork out hundreds of pounds on a new clutch. thanks for the advice

not gonna lie tried doing this today and dont have a clue at what im meant to be turning!

On the right hand side of the engine, left of the battery is the gearbox with the L plate on the top with 2 bars with rubber pipes on them, these seem to have plastic thumb screws on the end, is this it?

if someone could pretty please take a photo and point out the right thing that would be greaaat
