It's a mystery box of magic.

Not sure how effective that magic is yet though so I won't say much until it functions as intended!

Meanwhile, I did manage to finish up the exhaust earlier this week...

After that first outing I wasn't confident in the fitment, it seemed to start blowing a bit despite the assembly paste.

The guy I bought it from had cut the connecting end off the pipe and welded on a rolled flange section from the standard silencer in order to connect to the downpipe using standard fittings.
It was a good idea but it'd been welded up a bit squint, I think it was straining the connection and working itself loose.

I cut a wedge out and rewelded it straight.

This went a lot better after some fiddling with the wire speed too; which was nice because I'm hoping to tackle a floor on another project and hadn't been confident the gasless would be adequate til now. Just practice.

It fits nicely anyway.

I cut the bumper and applied some heat shielding - Taking no chances as I'd managed to melt the underside testing the silencer in it's original guise

A wee video here too if you like - first real outing since the rebuild:

Great project! Love your 107!

What about the koni str.t kit? With the stock tyres size (155 r14) how it works?

Thank you!
I've never tried it with the standard wheels but I imagine it'd be good fun. It's a great kit for the road.
