Hi All,

New to this forum and wished I brought the service kit from city bug but lesson learnt.. next time I will :)

service on my Peugeot 107 all went well bar the spark plugs, I put the new plugs in and when turning the car on it struggled and was very lumpy. Removed the plugs and put the old ones back in, now all fine.

My guess is these haven't been gaped correctly although I thought they came pre-gaped. Can anyone tell me the gap size for the Bosch FR8SC+ plugs? or should I gap as per the old plugs (original Denso I believe)

Thanks

Hi the gap is listed as 0,90 mm according to the Bosch catalogue. Normally plugs come pregaped.
Good Luck.
Next time fit Bosch Iridium more dosh but last for miles.

Thanks :) I did find it a bit odd but the size gap on old ones compared to new was massive, I should have triggered then! Maybe missed from factory or duff batch, who knows :/

if still no luck after gaping, what other plugs do you recommend? DENSO SPARK PLUG KH16TT or NGK SPARK PLUG LFR6C-11?

Looking for a quick plug for now as long drive coming up so from a motor factors would be handy

I fitted some Denso KH16TTs to our 107 earlier this year and they been spot on so far, I got those cos they supposed be better starting, fuel economy and they best price Denso's at the time. Being old skool, I always checked plug gaps on copper plugs before fitting, the Denso's I got were correctly gapped, but as you found out, you never know.

To be fair, NGKs probably just as good, used NGKs in our other cars for many years and never had any issues, but will stick with Denso's for our bugs as they been very good so far.

Hi l have fitted the Bosch Iridium FR7N1332S never had a misfire or lumpy idle in the time that they have been in. The tip is very fine and you are not recommended to mess with it. Attached is a photo so you can see what l mean. If it works, this website is in England you can do a search. Obviously you don't need 4 plugs. Don't buy the 4 pin ones they are crap, just my opinion.

Thanks guys, I checked the gaping yesterday and they seem be correct so maybe a duff plug as the old ones went back in and run fine.

I have ordered some Denso KH16TT as I can pick them up after work from the motor factors and will fit tonight. Fingers crossed these run fine.

Thanks for your help and will let you know how I get on :)
