So this has happened recently

*Front bumper respray
*Mesh front grille
*Dechromed grille
*New style badges
*Alloy refurb inc new style badge centre caps
*Alfa Quadrifoligio Badges
*Front and rear mud guards

I just need to paint the wee silver cross section at the bottom of the grille black just to disguise it a little.

Always the small details that make it bit more special, to be fair original chrome bits on 159 suited the car ok, unlike some ghastly chrome trim on posher Pug 108s!

Aye I would agree with you wasn’t to bad with original chrome, I find that the mesh and blacks just give it a bit more of a modern feel, but then again most Alfa’s are timeless

Yep, does suit it better, I'm of an age where chrome trim on 70s/80s car was all the rage and then it disappeared , as you say black/dark trim was the vogue, in recent years the chrome trim has made a comeback, works on some cars, but like the 108s, just looks like it randomly stuck on aftermarket tat, my stepdad just got an Astra H (2007) few months ago, and that got very chrome front and rear ends, it sort of works, but still looks a bit odd compared to rest of the car.

Talking of odd chrome, my Mondeo has stainless/chrome mesh grill front and back in the bumpers, but on a red car just looks odd, I could changed it to black but not bothered, but why didn't they do that as standard, as other trim details are black as standard.

Very nice, always liked these. Front end looks cracking with the subtle mods.
