Hi guys, seen the guide to fitting a rev counter and thought it would be the first upgrade.
Got a really good condition rev counter and cowling off a 2013 C1.
Gone to fit it tonight to find no plug to connect it to.??

Am I missing something?

Looking at step by step you tube video, the plug is very close to the back of the speedo. Can anyone confirm that it comes from the speedo or am I missing wiring from the loom?

Both my 2010’s had it just sitting there behind the dash-is yours the 2012 facelift? Maybe they removed it on the facelift?

Yes 2012 face-lift.

Mine is a 2012 C1 and it came with a rev counter, so some models definitely still have the wiring/plug in place. I'm not saying that they didn't remove it, but it seems odd if they did. The whole history of these cars has been cheap, universal parts across all models and the plug-in rev counter has been a nice easy mod from day 1. (I did it to my 107.)

That being said, I think that there must have been some change to the dash with the facelift because my C1 has a front fog lamp indicator lamp built into the dash and when I was looking at fitting front fog lamps, I noticed that kits for older cars came with separate switches and lights that needed to be drilled into the dash versus mine which has a modified indicator stalk and a light on the bottom-right of the speedo.

I've got a '14 plate (so I guess '13, or 13.5 model I suppose - I'm not savvy on models/ versions/etc) Active pug, which has front fogs and rev counter. I'm uploading pics now, but At a basic guess it looks like it may be 1 of two things comparing to mine:

1 - most images/videos show the rev counter plug held to the rest near the speedo by tape/whatever, this may have come away allowing the plug to fall down out of sight? It may have fallen into the void.
2 - possibly previous owner has 'tidied' wiring and removed the rev counter wiring? I wouldn't imagine manufacturer removing the wiring as it's extra unnecessary work and labour.

It's part of the loom should be a white 4 plug

Hi all thanks for the pics, any chance of a pic showing where the rev counter wiring goes to the wiring loom.
Definitely not dangling anywhere.
Maybe hidden in the plastic loom cover?

I don't actually know where the rest of the wiring/loom goes to get pics unfortunately (And it's dark out now, and I'm not going to get a chance during daylight for next week around work now to be able to get any suitable pics once I find it unfortunately)

Only thing I can suggest is follow the wiring and see if it's ended up caught/tangled up further down so it isn't dangling loose but caught?

From memory of doing my 107, the wires for the rev counter were taped to the other wires to keep them out of the way. So they are sort of semi-hidden. I found them easily enough though.
