Hi all,

Just joined, got myself a 107 2 tronic, im more of a JDM guy but this fitted the bill. Looks the best of the 3 imo. Only 19k miles on a 2014 so should be good. Have i made a fatul error getting a 2 tronic, did no research into these boxes before buying like a total rookie lol.

All the best, Craig South Wales

Hello and welcome.

Do you mean actual JDM imports, or just Japanese cars generally? If it's the latter, these cars are all Toyotas under the skin. As soon as you start taking bits off, you'll find Toyota stamped on most of the parts.

Try turning the ring on the middle of the indicator stalk...

That does the rears but only the rear, only a symbol for the rears too. What's the chances of someone sticking front fog lights in just for the look, in the day light, and not wireing them up haha

As far as I know anything fitted must work. My neighbors twingo had this problem could not find the wiring fault, so he covered them up.

If they are the genuine accessory kit that tells to fit a switch on the drivers door side of the cubby hole to the right of the steering column.

If the 2014 107 is the same as my 2012 C1 with respect to front fogs, it should have had the wiring loom in place to fit the lamps on leaving the factory. All that had to happen to my car to get the front fogs fitted and working was to plug the lamps in to the loom, plug in a relay (behind the stereo) and fit a new indicator stalk. The wires were already in place. So, if a model-appropriate kit was used (and the 107 is indeed equivalent to the C1 in this respect), then it should really have been done that way.

However, the earlier kits were for cars that did not have the wiring in place and would generally end up with a switch in the position that PetrolDave describes. I guess that someone could have used an older kit.

If it has been a completely amateur job (i.e. no kit, just parts bought from Halfords etc), then they may be wired incorrectly, may not have a switch or may be an incomplete job. (e.g. perhaps someone fitted them and intended to wire them but never got around to it.) Or they may be wired just fine but with a switch in a strange place.
