Hey all. Real name is Simon, and in six months time I will be purchasing a C1. The idea of cheap tax, low insurance, lots of mpg and low running costs is attractive...just need to get some cash saved and as soon as I have the readies I shall start looking around and see what comes up!

Looking forward to poking around on the forum, and any buying advice will be greatly received.

Are you going to be looking at the Mark 1 C1/107/Aygo (until 2014) or the Mark 2 C1/108/Aygo (2014 on)?

My 2012 Aygo Fire is zero road tax. Not sure which years qualify for this, and the others are not expensive anyway but it’s something to consider if you are looking to minimise running costs. Also, the Mk1 up to 2014 seats are awful (for me anyway) and I had some Mk2 C1 seats fitted for £250 and they are much better. Make sure you can sit comfortably!

Well, I won't be getting a C1 because I have found a 2014 mk1 Aygo move with style! Should be picking it up this Friday.

Same underlying mechanics as the C1 and 107, good choice - I've been tempted by a Mk2 Aygo xclusiv I have to admit!
