just added a passenger door switch , easy enough joined extra wire onto the pink and it works

the wire seems to go live when you open the door ? how would i wire up a footwell light to the same switch , id assumed it was earth??

When I did mine few years ago, I removed driver's side A pillar plastic trim and tapped into the courtesy light wiring which runs down the A pillar, it plugs into wiring at the bottom. The plug removes so you can fairly easily access wires, it been a while so cannot remember exact wire, iirc think plug had 3 wires so just used multi meter to find correct one.

thanks i think ive sussed it...confused me the pink goes to 12v when the switch is pushed?

cut into the wires up in the pillar and will run those into the footwell another day
