Post subject:  C1 non start

hi gang my daughters c1 has been misfiring the last couple of days on start up and today it won't start at all. It will turn over but won't fire and I can smell petrol so am thinking spark issue ??
Any help would be gratefully received.
The missfire was on cylinder 2 and coil pack and plugs were replaced. I noticed as well that plug was wet....

Hmm, if the cylinder 2 isn't firing then I suppose the the moisture would be petrol. In my experience, if you have one cylinder out then the engine runs, but wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. The coils are certainly the best place to start - I know that it's unlikely, but the coil on pot 1 or 3 could have started to play up as well - or even the replacement unit on 2 is duff? The engine runs badly on two cylinders, but nothing will happen on one. You obviously have some sort of diagnostic unit, so recheck for faults. If your coils and plugs are good then you just have to work your way back up the chain, check the wiring loom for damage and so on. If you have a friend with a C1 then swap your coils to make sure that they are good?
