Drives: Citroen C1 Vibe
Hi everyone, hopefully this Sunday I'll be picking up a C1 Vibe, it's got just over 70k miles and I got it at a good price, however there are a couple issues, a little leak coming through the aerial (already read on how to fix) as well as the boot not unlocking from the outside. I don't think the key fully goes into the slot, and it won't turn. Does anyone know what could be the issue? Any help would be great, thanks.

I had the same lock issues with mine. They seize up ,I just took mine apart and soaked them in penetrating oil, pushing the key in and out several times. It took quite some time to free it up , I also used a small probe to try and free it up , and I put them in an ultrasonic bath.

Hi, thanks for helping, would you say that taking apart the lock is particularly difficult? This is my first car so I don't really know what I'm doing lol.

I didn’t really take it apart, just took it out of the car and soaked it in penetrating oil and kept pushing key in and out and a small screwdriver to try and free up the tumblers inside the lock.
It’s pretty straight forward when you start to take it apart.

Good luck I’m sure you will get it done.

You can open the rear hatch from the inside of the car
