My Pug 107 has got a 'sick' nearside headlight. Offside is fine but nearside is just a dim glow. On inspection, it looks like both dip and high filaments are 'on' with switch bin either position. I've checked and cleaned all earth connections and tried different 'new' H4 bulbs.
Cannot isolate a wiring problem sadly. Help!

Have you checked the headlight fuses, think they in engine bay fuse box. Think they been an issue for others so maybe worth a look.

+1

There are separate fuses for each headlight.

Unusually the switches are in the ground side of the headlights on the C1/107/Aygo so the common pin of the headlight bulb should be permanent 12V, if it isn't then you have a fuse or connection problem.

Thanks for responses. You were right - fuse blown. Won't bore you with the journey to it (via searching for fuse box 'maps' for an hour online (none turned out to be like my pug's!), finally obtaining a multimeter which gave a true reading and more)! All started with a bulb separating from its spot welds and ending up INSIDE the unit! But what a pain having to remove bumper and even morere assembling!

Glad you got it sorted, wish I mentioned it earlier and bit late now, but if you have an owners handbook for your 107 the fuse locations (engine bay and interior fuses) are in there. Also a Haynes manual is a handy reference.
