Our 107 has never started after its its engine change. The car is a 2012 model and the engine came out of a 2012. The ignition lights come on flashing for a few seconds then become steady. There is nothing when the key is turned to the start position. We used the wiring loom that came with the engine. I'm ok with spanners, but rubbish with electrics. Has anyone any ideas?

Could be something to do with the immobilizer maybe?

Do any codes show up if you plug an OBD in?

Haven’t put an obd on yet. I have a Peugeot diagbox which I will take over tomorrow. We used the loom which came with the engine, maybe should have used the original loom from the car. That’s what we are intending trying.

you have to use the OLD wiringloom from the original motor than it wil start just fine.
last saterday i changed the complete motor with altenator and startermotor , gearbox and driveshafts of the girlfriend from my son and the ECU pins are different from the newer engine so i took the old loom and it fires up inmededly

Did you change the loom before or after you fitted the engine? If after is it easy enough to do with the engine fitted? That's the job in the next day or two.

Changed the loom today, a bit of a pig with the engine insitu and still no go. I'm now stuck in, for me, the painful world of electrics.

Used original ecu, wires correct on starter, there's nothing at all when key turned to start. No relays clicking, nothing from starter. It's the original starter off the old engine.
