Read lots on earlier older models with clutch probs... can’t find this problem listed on 2011 age group ..any ideas please
40,000 Miles, owned for over 4 years, no problems ever
Last week clutch gained few inches of loose travel at top of range, the lower section pushing down became stiffer, but oddly not all the time ( frees up after driving a while) , gears all still changing normally, no weird noises from anywhere, just the stiffer lower range on clutch and floppy feeling to the top range...
Really grateful for Ideas please...cant afford for someone to misdiagnose at a garage and do unnecessary works..thanks

It’s supposed to have 18-28mm of freeplay at the top-however, it is manually adjusted and you seem to infer that yours did it on its own! May be worth spraying some lithium grease down on to the clutch arm-below battery and the part that moves when you dip the clutch. I would also check the clutch cable (with the adjusting wheel on it) as this appears to be moving of its own accord!

Obviously these things are hard to diagnose on here, if could also be that the clutch bearing is starting to stick on the gearbox shaft however unlikely.

Do all models suffer from the failing clutch release arms, or was it just early cars? It sounds like some part of the clutch mech is partially seized or detached.
