Taken speedo out, this is the part of loom the leads should be coming from. Do you think they maybe further back in the loom or shall I take dash out?

Unfortunately, I don't really remember exactly what mine looked like when I first opened it up and I can't check right now (also, it was actually dark when I did my one (by torchlight) ). I don't even recall the colour of the relevant wires.

The plug wasn't too far from the opening that you have pictured but it was sort of taped up against the other wires. I just ran my hands down the wire bundles until I found an unattached plug, freed it and attached it to the rev counter. Like I said, it wasn't far from the opening and removing the entire dash would be quite a bit of work and overkill if the plug is where it should be.

I can't see any obvious plug-like things in your picture so I guess it is possible the wiring simply isn't there, but if it is there there should be no need to remove the entire dash.

Any ideas where the wire goes to pick up the rev speed? Other 3 wires should be easy enough to connect up, lights, ground, switched pos.
Must go to a sensor?
