Yesterday removed the n\s interior quarter panel.
The wiring for the rear lights are wet, so l’m hoping it will be a quick fix. Light off some sealant or tape and replace.

Kept checking could not see leak. Saturday covered the back with talcum powder, Sunday and Monday about 4 inches snow.
Here’s the result.

Not a drop
Then l turned the flash on.

Full colour still not a drop of bloody water to be seen anywhere. I am totally confused.
Any ideas team ???

Afternoon, Brixtonboy,
I suppose the obvious cause would be a leak from the lights running along the cable, but with all the work you have done to seal all possible leaking joints, it's difficult to believe you still have a leak.
Is it possible you have a really bad case of condensation?
I think I read in some of your posts that you do a lot of short journeys, and that you often have the air intake selector turned to the recirculated air position. The humidity in the air in the car would tend to condense at the rear where it is probably coolest.
Just a thought.

Great idea no way that would have come into my head. Got in this morning all the windows were clear, but the pedals were damp. Carpet was dry. And no signs of leaking from anywhere. Morgen l will change the setting Thanks

First thing l did as your suggestion reset the slider. Still not leaking.
As soon as l saw water from the rear l ordered this stuff for the rear light unit.

If fact just in case got 3.
Already have one of these things, helps to clear the screen, or supposed to.Image
And this dehumidifier is great, had it ages took loads of moisture out of the Air. Just need to refill it and put it back in. I’m sure the car is damp.

Put this back in a few nights ago. Found out after all this time l was using it wrong. If you’re thinking of getting one, they come in 3 bits.
I was putting the granules in the bottom where the water collects.
That’s wrong. The middle part sits over this and the bag of granules sits on it so that the water droplets drop into the container.
Obvious when you think about it. It tipped over once and water spilt out, so for the time being it’s behind the passenger seat, a tight fit.
Need a box to set it up in the boot area, Securely.

The bags of granules are very cheap on Ebay

Hi all, very boring put the thing in a box and it’s secured by the seatbelt. Checked it, no water in it, good news.
We have had 12 inches of snow and rain and Jacky is bone dry at the moment. The racket from the spare wheel cover is doing my head in. It’s coming out.

Since have having it on non-recirculating l can see out of the back side glass and am not using the heated rear tailgate at all.

Thanks to my fellow member on here.

If you’re doing short journeys and are misting up a lot give it a try for a few weeks. It’s JUST possible you might not have a leak.
