Hello all, my indicators have suddenly stopped working! When I click them on left or right nothing happens, no lights inside and no indicators, the hazards work fine and the fuse seems fine so I am assuming it’s the indicator stall, has anyone else had the same problem before? Many thanks in advance Paul

It is not unknown! Can't be the fuse then, so may well be the stalk. BUT-check the hazards first-if these work, then its the stalk-get a new one from eBay or they can be repaired if you are handy! Unusual for both left and right to go at same time though?

Thank you I did think the same that it would be odd for both to go at the same time but the hazards work fine and the headlights etc all work fine, it’s just the indicators!

I can not remember exactly however but somewhere in the Circuit is a relay believe it’s in the fuse box. It could be that.
Also do you hear the normal clicking sound?
Can you clean the contacts on the fuse just to make sure or renew it.

That’s a good shout I will change the fuse and see if that makes any difference, there is no clicking noise either, it happened after I picked it up from the garage to have a new starter motor and alternator!

It probably will not help but you could try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes Earth side and then reconnecting it.

So I’m pretty certain it is the stalk, if I don’t fully engage the indicator it does come on, but fully on it won’t! Guess I should search Ebay for a cheap one! Thanks for all your help

Be careful when you fit it, there is something tricky about the spring and if it unwinds more than a few times it’s kaputt l think.
Dealers charge 160squid for it l believe. Check out the Full Member section it’s in there somewhere

BB is referring to the clockspring-when you remove this, just tape it so it does not spin and you can put back in the same position. Also disconnect battery and wait 2 mins when taking off steering wheel airbag-otherwise, fairly straightforward with a replacement stalk.
