Hi guys, long story short my wife hit another car while doing like 2mph on the aygo... now the front bumper is slightly bent, and the steel crash bar under it looks bent as well. I think it would be wise to fix at least the crash bar, otherwise next time it won't be able to absorb the kinetic energy. Being a simple piece of steel sheet, I might take it apart and hammer it straight again, or else I might replace it... what would you do?

best,

RL

For the price of them just replace it.

Seen them as cheap as £20 on eBay.

Colour doesn’t matter as its all hidden anyway unless you look from under the bonnet

Of all the dozens of C1s that I have taken the front off (Electric C1 conversions and the Bumper cover and steel has to come off to shut down the Battery Management system) I have only ever seen one car that hadnt got a partly squashed steel bumper behing the cover.. The front steel section is very thin and is a convoluted shape to get the strength. None have been so bent that they are crushed on the inside or wont refit. Always a first though and I keep a spare if that ever happens.
