Maybe a stone chip, remove the damaged paint, clean it all up and seal. And respray/polish it's nothing new, really.

I had a tiny bit of rust which my brother pointed out...

Treated it with some hammerite...

Then used a cotton bud to dab a bit of paint on it...

I have a fair few stone chips on my bonnet that have started to rust, but all is ok because im having the bonnet resprayed as the cats have been clawing at it!!

That ain't rust. Rust is where half the car is missing or its on the frame.

Anyway, dab of Hammerite Kurust or similar, allow to convert, dab on paint, sorted.

use rust converter as mentioned above then touchup paint on top.
