According to torque I'm doing about 8.7l/100km which without getting a calc out looks pretty crap. Plugs on order. Is this a dieselgate scam? Is ANYONE getting 70 mpg?

I've done my first brim-to-brim today, as soon as the gauge dropped to 3/6 - calculated figure is 48.15 mpg (5.87 l/100 km)which I think is good as it's all been short journeys around town.

At 8.7 l/100km (32.5 mpg) there must be some issue somewhere.

No, it's settled down to 7.7. I calculated the last fuel up to 58mpg (8.07l@99.3 miles), which I thought was pretty shit but looking at yours I should shut up.
NB, torque might be a bit out of sync on the l/km.

As I posted, my usage is all the worst type - short journeys so often not fully warming up and congested traffic - if this was my only car, the longer trips would improve my average considerably but I use my other car for those.

Around town my other car would be doing 24 mpg so I am pleased with 48 !

I notice it takes more than 5 miles minimum or 10 minutes to get up to temp.

wife drives 4 miles to work and 4 miles back. engine hardly gets warm when she gets to work. the ones where its got 49mpg in the chart is when its had a motorway journey alongside her regular routine.

I got 334 on my last tank. Not too bad for a 12 year old car doing London city driving I don't think!
