I have got some 15" Alloys for the Aygo, and was wondering what is more likely to be a better fit, and size.

195/50 or 195/45 x 15

My car is on KYB Excel Gas Shockers and Apex springs, so is sat a bit lower than standard

Thanks

The most important thing is to keep the circumference close to the OE fit 155/65x14 combination, a maximum difference of 2% is normally recommended. In addition, you need to check for rubbing with the wider tyres.

The circumference of the 195/50x15 will be 3.7% larger than OE and the 195/45x15 will have the same circumference as OE - so I would suggest 195/45x15 tyres.

FYI I run 195/40x16 on my summer wheels which have a circumference which is 0.9% larger than OE. I needed to add 10mm spacers on the front wheels to avoid rubbing on full lock. I have a 5 door which means the rear tyres are more likely to rub on the outer edge (due to the extra metal of the door in the rear wheelarch), so you may need different offsets front and rear if you have a 5 door.

Thanks Dave.

I was thinking the 195/45 was about right.

I'm in a 3 door so shouldn't be too bad at the back end id have thought.

Thanks
