Hang on, l'm still waiting for him to post the dates of manufacture of the tyres he has fitted. They might already be 5 years old......

Wrong thread l know but... everyone knows Ebay, here we have ebay small adds, everything's free putting adds in etc. I was searching for tyres after l got a flat, ended up buying 4 on wheels used for 3 summers on a new C1.
The woman had a crash in winter and got a new car.

They cost €60 complete. I had to drive about 25 miles to see them though but it was well worth it.

Moral is: lt pays to shop around.

Sounds like a real bargain. I sold my old 107s steel wheels and used tyres for £ 50 locally. The tyres were 7 years old though.

stock tyres vs 195/50R15

Image

the 195/50R15 5.5J touch the arches when I steer all to both sides

now I use 185/60R14 more grip, less handling, perfect.

I would suggest you advise your insurance company that you have non-standard tyres fitted, even if your wheels are stock. Technically you've modified the car from the Smart spec, unless that size tyre was available as a factory option.

I have just got round to sending an email to my insurers regarding the change in front tyre size from stock spec and won't drive the car again until I recieve confirmation that my policy has been updated.
