Has anyone ever even for 2 minutes left their car unlocked? I often do and put the keys under the adjuster bar by my feet. You know pop into a shop to get something quick. Living in a village what’s the problem.
Found out at the weekend that if the Police see you do it, you get a ticket €20 on first offence.

When we moved to Devon 3 years ago we were told "there's no need to lock your front door or your car", however having been born & spent my early years in South London I always lock the house doors and car - old habits die hard ;)

I always lock mine and if I'm going to be more than 5 minutes the steering wheel lock goes on as well. Too many shifty characters around here...

Same as the house, wouldn't leave it unlocked if nobody was in so the car gets locked up too, every time.

I leave mine unlocked after filling up at the petrol station in order to pay for the fuel.

I do that sometimes, depending where I am filling up!

I normally pay at the pump, but if I can't I always lock the car.

The Thatcham ratings for the bugs show that they have a 4 star rating for 'theft of' but only a 1 star rating for 'theft from'.

I always lock mine, ironically coming from a non central locking era I often check each door is locked if leaving car unattended for a while, but then again I had door lock solenoids fail on another car, so not as silly as it sounds.

Got 2 pay at the pump ones here and there open 24 hours so it’s useful and cheaper. However it doesn’t give change for cash. I don’t have any credit cards. But the usual Shell and Aral are keeping funny opening times since COVID-19. I need to investigate if the pumps take Bank Cards.
Never thought of it before.

Leaving your front door unlocked, well not mine mine girlfriend’s her daughter’s baby is 2 ½
and this week the rules changed suddenly, when we come in we must lock the door door behind us.

What dissed me off was l’ve been saying for ages we need a chain on the front door and my Begging was totally ignored.
