Not surprised as your Corsa is in insurance group 26! my 84bhp Smart Fortwo is only in insurance group 5. My old 107 Urban was in insurance group 3.

It must cost you a small fortune to insure it @ age 23!

edit: I see it cost you £ 800 a couple of years back with 2 years ncd...

That's actually less than I thought being a 26 grouper.

Still about £500 with the Mrs on there, she's 22 with 2 years ncd. If it were on my own it goes to about £350.

That's not bad at all, £ 350 for a 23 year old with a car in insurance group 26. My first insurance premium with my 2007 107 Urban valued at £ 4,500 was £ 305 Fully Comp on a Provisional license this was back on 19 APR 2012 aged 36 with no NCD.

I did expect yours to be more, must be your NCD.

Got a few things to save up for...

1. A Major Service
2. Car insurance
3. Trip to Guernsey
4. Eye test and new glasses from Specsavers

Reckon I'm going to need £ 1200

Just did a service cost about €65
2 weeks ago got some new Driving glasses from Fielmann
total cost inc. insurance €54
Don’t wish to visit anywhere at the moment.

Car insurance is weird here, unless you have sold your car you can’t change your company when you want to. Just when you buy another one or from l think November to the end of December. The TV is full of car insurance companies at the moment.
Pay mine monthly €45.70 very high and that’s not full com.
Due an illness l have, now you know why l’m a bit nuts sometimes =)

I'd like to learn to ride and get a bike so that I'm confident enough to use it in the Summer. I have a garage that it can go in. I also wanna work on it a bit over the Winter.

Great idea, l got mine many years ago. We had a law then 49cc with pedals and you got a pop pop license. But a 49cc without pedals you got a full 750cc license.
That’s how l got mine.
When l got my London Double Decker Licence and came to Germany l was amazed to find out that it qualified me to drive 40 ton trucks and farm things.
Never driven them in life. Bloody stupid. Laws have changed now thank goodness. Can’t drive buses anymore due to illness.
