I blame the people claiming for whiplash when they don't have it, all the uninsured drivers out there and the crash for cash gangs

+1 on the claims, especially when people see you're a young driver and start claiming they have all sorts of damage

My insurance is £747.60 per annum which includes monthly 12 monthly payments of 62.30 at 29.9% APR with Tesco Bank insurance. I'm 30 with no accidents/convictions etc within last 5 yrs had 2 accidents previous to this (not my fault) but no convictions. My mum is 2nd driver no convictions etc, retired. My cover includes: fully comp insurance, Accidental damage, fire related damage, theft/attempted theft, claims against me, courtesy car, personal accident cover, motor legal protection, upgraded courtesy car cover, driver injury cover, key cover for two key fobs, protected NCD.

Is it me or is my insurance really expensive? I want to change insurers but I've been unable to find insurers that'll cover me for the above exactly. I've used comparison sites for insurance quotes. Anyone know of any insurers that'll cover me for the above options?

Thanks in advance :)

Ben.

That's a lot! Do you work full time? Are you in a rough area?

I was paying that when I was 19

Yeah I work full time, I don't live in a rough area. It's a crazy sum of money to pay!

There's a lot of extras there; mine was 330 but that's just fully comp with motor legal, nothing else added on, and a hideous excess. Still, 3+years NCD means the big excess has been worth it so far... what's yours, out of interest?

My last renewal (fully comp, motor legal protection) before adding the extras was £419 but adding all the extras bumped it up to £749. My policy voluntary excess is £250. Don't have a compulsory excess.
