Hi I have just got a new C1 VTR and I love it, but I'm having trouble opening the petrol cap. I've tried turning the key left and then right but can't get it to work. This is my first car after passing my test, so maybe I'm just being stupid and missing something obvious? Please help.

Glad it wasn't just me...

Use the key to turn the cap CCW and as soon as it starts to move, unscrew it.

When you do it up, it just ratchets.

Feels like it's going to break the key, but I haven't managed to break it in 4 years

Thanks - I'll try again tonight when I get home. Maybe I'm just being too gentle.

If it's the same as my 107 the key turns just about an 8th to the left which releases the lock, I can then remove the key and it unscrews...to lock it again just turn the cap clockwise until it clicks and that's it.....isn't that what everyone else had said before me lol.....
