Update, I am using 4.546 conversion to mpg and the 107 is also doing 46 last fill up.

I think it's just that we have fast journeys and are petrol heads  Previous cars have been a mixture of sporty to v sporty so we do whiz them around a bit, which the bugs seem to enjoy as much as we do!

Having said that I agree that 32mpg may be a record!-

If there was a hat-doffing emoji I would use it now

I no longer own a bug but I have had 52.6 MPG in my Smart. One of the reasons for this is the max speed limit here of 40 MPH combined with having the roads to myself early in the morning.

Ah, that would help explain it! We are doing 80 plus on dual carriageways quite a bit, and I'm sure our journeys are much less scenic!

Mine has been averaging about 49mpg but used to get 63 but that was when I was on R-Plate and it has been doing around 50 afterwards and that is me being aggressive country driving and then 30 mph town driving at rush hour but would be putting some Redex fuel additive into the car which hopefully gets more mpg and more bhp

That new Micra looks like a Focus ST, Hyundai i30 and Nissan Pulsar fell into a blender. Is there a hot hatch engine in there that's caught your eye Pete fella?

Well that would help sway things I suppose haha. Surprised you haven't had a sniff at a 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta in ST Line trim with 130bhp!

I was looking at fiestas aswell a few months back, but they are like you say overpriced. Plus you have to buy into the Fiesta drivers reputaion aswell.

Understand what you gents are saying there, what are they, like 15 grand? A proper ST can be had for a little more new, or a lot less.
