Ah nothing that don't keep thinking about. You could always get the complete panel changed if it worries you that much. Probably cost a small fortune l reckon.

I have got extra cosmetic repair insurance with the main dealer which covers me for 3 years from date of purchase which cost an extra £ 600 but I'd feel a bit of a nob claiming on this.

I'll wait until I have something more substantial on the bodywork before I make my claim.

Ordered some of this stuff...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0044090GC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It probably won't work but worth a punt. Cost me £ 8.11 ex VAT and I ordered a £ 9.87 T-Shirt in order to qualify for the free delivery, otherwise it was £ 4.49 delivery cost or £ 11.29 on eBay.

Just hope it doesn't make things worse.

IIRC that's the second time you've adding something to an Amazon order to qualify for free delivery - maybe worth looking back to see how often you've done that and whether you've actually used the 'extra' items? It may be worth signing up to Amazon Prime if you've added many unused 'extra' items? We did that calculation a couple of years ago and it worked out that paying for Prime was a better option for us.

I checked all my Amazon orders placed in 2018 and I didn't add anything extra to qualify for free delivery on any of them, so I don't think Prime would be worth it to me. Anyway you can never have to many T-Shirts so I will get some use out of it.

*Update*

Went onto YouTube to look at reviews of the product and found this one...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjvygSwhc58

It's really put me off the product so I logged into Amazon and cancelled my order. Luckily it hadn't begun despatching yet. I think I'll just leave it as it is, the more I look at it the more I realise how minor it is and I don't want to make it any worse.

I’ve banned myself from looking at mine either in photos or in the car itself. Out of sight out of mind as they say. I feel a whole lot happier now, it was getting ridiculous.

Well it got the better of me so I enquired with my dealer about getting both the wing mirror and where I keyed the inside of the door repaired under the cosmetic accident repair insurance I paid £ 599 for.

Turns out it doesn’t cover interior damage and would only cover the wing mirror if it’s painted. At which point I gave up on the idea.

Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say and at least I know now I’m not missing out on anything.

Those cosmetic damage insurances are a rip off. As are most insurances. Unless you sit and read all the extremely minute small print so you know exactly what they do cover, then you're better off without it. When you think you paid £599 for 3 years cover, the chances you'll ever need to claim is low because you take care of your car, (although being a BMW the labour charges could swallow that up in a day). So if you worked out how much any claim including your excess contribution would cost I think you'd have to make more than one claim in 3 yrs to get your moneys worth.

£600 in your bank account is better than in theirs I say.

If I ever do need to make a claim on some exterior paint damage then it will be repaired by these guys...

https://vehicleworkshop.je/

There’s an app for my iPhone which I can use to arrange it all.
