Busy day at the dealers today with it being the first day of the 15 plate. Lots of new cars being collected today, valeters running round shining up tyres!
I have ordered some optional extras. If there's a car in the citroen compound that matches my requirements then I can be in it in a couple of weeks, otherwise it's a factory order and could take 8-10 weeks.
The longer it takes, the more my part-ex vehicle devalues, so they better hurry up!

Will they not lock in the part ex price now?

I am still being quoted early May and I ordered a few weeks ago

They said If the cars condition or mileage is substantially different when it goes through then this will affect the value.

Ordered a Feel with Serenity and Automatic packs 3 weeks ago (dealer phoned me up and asked me if I was interested in trading in 2 year old VTR I had bought from them and after a couple of weeks thinking about it I decided to go for it).

Initially offered £4350 trade in but when I pointed out that We Buy Any Car had offered £4850 (which I had checked on the advice of the salesman who originally called me) they raised the offer to £4700 with a lock in until delivery.

As it's probably going to be May before the new one arrives they had to redo the order showing the trade-in as £4100 but with a corresponding decrease in the price of the new one so the price I pay remains the same.

According to the salesman the value of a C1 like mine would drop approx £150/month but i haven't any way of confirming that.

mine is 10 weeks approx. 1.2 flair with automatic plus pack, black alloys and a space saver spare. I may pop to the dealer see if he will guarantee the trade in price.
