I thought it was 3.1 with the filter and 1 litre between min max on the dip stick....its not much use though but I do have a cunning plan to modify mine so it clings to the oil better...

Toyota say 2.8 including filter for Aygo
Citroen/Peugeot say 3.1 including filter

I went for 0w-20, its a Toyota engine and that's what they recommend.
12mm sump plug washer size.

It's actually a Daihatsu engine - and they recommend 5w-30 grade oil for it. The only reason Toyota recommend the thinner stuff is because that's what most of their other engines use, so it keeps things simple for their workshops...

Are Daihatsu not Toyota? How do you know they recommend 5w30?

5w30 is the 'correct' oil, has always been, the engine is not modern, it was designed in the 90s and 5w30 works well.

Daihatsu is now wholly owned by Toyota - but that's not the same as saying that they are Toyota from either a design or engineering standpoint. The 5W-30 recommendation is on a sticker under the bonnet.
