Jeepers, a year since I posted on here. The amount of cars I have gone through is unbelievable! Crashed the c5, got blinded by some twat with hid lights in his old corsa I think it was and hit a crash barrier, c5 a write off the week before Xmas. Cue a trip to the car auction and I came home with a fiesta 1.4tdci van. What a piece of shit! I also bought an old peugeot 206, kept it 3 weeks and sold at a profit, of setting the loss on the fiesta van. I had a bid on ebay for a Peugeot 205, I was not expecting to get it at the 100 quid starting bid, but I did win it the day after I bought a Renault megane oasis. Then my son decided he wanted something faster than his 107 and went and bought a Skoda Fabia VRS tdi which is modified to 200 brake instead of its standard 130. My megane is sold, bit still here, going on Saturday, the old 205 is through a mot, is like new underneath and inside and only done 64000 miles and is a keeper and amazing fun. I'm taking the 107 from my son so I have a bug again! He has done 30000 in a year in it, it's now showing 54000, quite high for a 12 plate. I am now at work part time, and do a bit of mileage so it will be good to get into the 50 or 60 mpg again. No photos of any of these motors as yet, y hey are on my phone and it's on the charge, so I'm back on here to see what's bing on with you buggers lol

Welcome back.

I have a question about your old C4. I had the opportunity to pick up a 2008 C4 Loeb recently. 1.6, ~38,000 miles, a bunch of gadgets. I passed it up though because it seemed too good to be true, like the garage wanted rid or something. I figured it would be suffering the same faults that my 207 did (dead sensors, bulbs, etc), a lot of the gear looked similar.

Did you have many issues with yours?

I had no issues with mine, but it was the 2.0 180 psa engine. The 1.6 as fitted in later cars is the new design shared with BMW which apparently not so reliable, although I know nothing about it. My c4 was a brilliant car, the only reason I changed it was my health at the time, it was unsuitable for me, I found it nearly impossible to get in and out of it due to the the length of the doors, not getting them open far enough.

That says it all to me, the 207 GTi has the turbo version of that BMW engine and they all pop at around that mileage.

Long time since I've been on here again! My son and I still own the 12 plate 107 sportium. It's now done 77k and never let us down. Still on original clutch, which is a total surprise given how it is driven, and still original exhaust. It is up for MOT on friday. It has never needed a thing, services by either me or him every 10000 without fail.

I wheel and deal a little bit in cars, currently have a Seat Leon tdi, 06 reg with 183k covered. Bought for next to nothing a few weeks ago, it has a FSH from supplying seat dealer with two owners. It will get polished up and sold soon, I'll make 100quid maybe and be happy.

I have a toy. A very rare car, only 28 left taxed in the UK. Citroen Xantia Activa 2.0 turbo with some tweaks.185 old skool bhp no traction control or other electronic frippery, but Citroens magical but upgraded hydraulic suspension. It has the comfortable ride to rival a presidential limo, but yet will go around corners faster than almost any car on the road, proven in the sweedish (I think) moose test. I absolutely love it and have owned it now over a year, which for me is like forever. It is the only photos you are getting lol

My son still has his Fabia vrs, highly modified, he uses the 107 daily for work and when he gets home I use it for my work, and he has a civic type r road legal track slag, which is incredibly fast, but for me far too hard core.
