Needs doing every few years

It's easy for moisture to get in and reduce breaking ability

It would have added an extra hours labour charge @ £ 79 to my estimate plus parts. Didn't need it done as it was done at my last service a year ago.

I'll try and negotiate a better deal next time based on the oil and filter change service estimate. At the end of the day I am worse than useless with cars mechanically.

I'd be interested to see that job done properly in ten minutes. One stuck bleed valve could see a couple of hours labour easy.

I would suggest that one hours labour charge is pretty reasonable to be honest.

Going to be honest... We used to knock out a BFC in 10-15 minutes at Skoda. It's very quick with the right equipment and the bleed valves would only be a slow-down if they are potentially seized like on an older car.

In your case l would forget the plugs, but the brake fluid is as you know very important

Yeah car has only done 17,265 miles and should be on 18,500 miles or so by this time next year. It had a brake fluid change at its last service so skipped it this time.

I'll probably get a quote for an oil and filter change plus brake fluid and air filter this time next year. Spark plugs can last 20,000 miles so mine are probably going to be okay.

For the price of filters you should just do all of them at the same time.

My last service was £22 all in

Thing is we are thank goodness all different. Personally l have no desire to change the speedo bulbs and add a spoiler and lights down by my feet. I can do services on my car for me that's the main thing, not everyone has the confidence to do that. If I have a fault and need help l know you (hope) guys are there for me, nice feeling.
Even though l'm 1000 miles away.
