Sure it was the case. Frome what I can tell it was just that front light unit going to one with grilles of various types. Dont know if they changed anything on the interior...

Yeah J15nel was right, yours is the eighth gen 2005-2011 with the 2009 facelift. Loads of info about it here...

Had a look on the civic forums for inspiration to modify but im really no feeling it with the Civic it would just totally ruin it tbh, maybe the narrow Type-S coulor coded spoiler but thats it i think
