I wanted to say gun metal grey, but the standard silver goes so well with all the factory chrome. Tough one when the standard car looks good as it is :p

Just spotted these two red Civics down in the car park. Are they basically the same as yours? I know the first is a type R but are they basically the same (year etc)?

First one is an FN2 with all the trimmings judging by the 5 spoke alloys. Second one is an older shape regular one, maybe ES / EX if I remember Honda trim levels. Think they facelifted them around 2009/10 so that the front, 'long headlight' had some grilles in the middle. I'm guessing the number plates are Jersey specific with their format.

Yes that's correct. So wee macs is the ninth generation made between 2011-2015 and the tenth generation was made from 2016 onwards.

Eighth generation mate, 2010-11 was the last of Wee Mac's generation before it became the horrible, bloated thing is was from 2011 to present. Annoying as the US spec ones look better. Just used to these Civics as I knew a lad with an FN2 Type R and it was awesome.

I got my info from this wiki...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic

Says the FN2 was the ninth generation or was that only available in America?

Might be that FN2 was the designation for the Type R for the eighth gen, EP3 for the previous Type R as opposed to being the designation for the rest of the cars, so my bad there :p You can see on the wiki how many codes there are which makes it a joy to work out! I just get lazy and call all eighth gen Civics 'oh the FN2 shape'.

Best part is the Japanese Type R of the 8th Gen is a saloon rather than a hatch which all the JDM fan boys fawn over. I'd be happy with either.

I both love and loathe the EP3 for how basic it is inside. Some days it's like 'yeah, focused race car mate, all I need' then sometimes it's like 'aww, there's a solid button where my AC should be..'

The photo on that wiki page of the eighth gen car shows one with the long headlight as opposed to one with the grill in the middle. Are you saying that they facelifted the eighth gen model in around 2009/2010 to the one with the grill in the middle?

Eighth gen made between 2005 to 2011 ninth gen 2011 to 2015 and tenth gen from 2016 onwards, you can see the tenth gen has a different front altogether.

That's right. Wasn't a huge face lift and made it look less concept car like.
