Yeah exactly, I'm in no rush really, rather take my time and do it properly than rush and bodge it

Hopefully the caliper turns up today and I can crack on tonight

a bit of an update maybe

replaced both handbrake cables and got a new caliper on the os- although its binding a bit but passed MOT all good

got my mongoose zzorst back on and cleaned my induction kit

just a case of maintaining her through winter or driving the c1 more

then come next year the plan is to supercharge her and hopefully push 250-270bhp and a bucket load of torque

I asked a guy once what he did with his Mustang during the winter, he said he it was garaged polished, engine etc. Interior shampooed. Wheels removed and cleaned and packaged. The car was the supported on bricks.
And fully serviced in time for the German summer.
He just bought an old cheap car with mot to get him through the winter.

So did an oil change the other day

Been getting oil loss and blue smoke boooo

So guessing piston rings

So looking for a nice v6 camry I can do a 1mz-fe v6 swap

Mmmmmm v6 in my mr2

Been quoted 2.5k to get it done and will take a few weeks but he's up Durham way

Or do I find a camry for 1k and do it myself

Plus oil, New cam belt, gaskets, oil pump etc etc and then get an exhaust fabricated

Probably work out at the same price!

Gave the inside a good clean

Removed the passenger side carpet and stuck some underseal down and then some sound proofing

Then ordered some more for the drivers side

Added in a USB socket that I'll wire up next week and gave her a washImageImageImage

Cheers mate

Got a few bits of paint to sort but nothing major

I've bought myself a 3vzfe 3 litre v6 engine to go in her mmmmm

So plan is to make the shell as nice as I can and strip and rebuild the engine then put the engine in

Excited!

An update

Rocker covers off, water pump, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, oil cooler

Those cam bolts were really really tight!

Then got one of the heads off

Started the clean up of the rocker covers and fuel rails ready to be painted

Today's job is to get the crank bolt off and the other headImageImageImageImageImage
