Yeah, it's nice to be nice and I'm sure they really know and appreciate that they have gotten a very well cared for car for an absolute bargain price.

I hope that your niece is as fastidious about tyre pressures as the previous owner. ;)

My brother is of the type who only checks tyres when they look like they need it, so I doubt it very much.

You know my thoughts on checking tyre pressures every 2 weeks so enough said. I now check them daily, amazing turn around. Discovered a tyre pressure checker that one screws into the valve.
4 in the pack. If you're tyre pressure is correct it reads green, warning green and yellow is shown, danger yellow is shown. Having checked mine with 2 testers they work ok.
Just the solution for your brother.

Sounds good, but I wonder how do these things know what pressure your tyres are supposed to be? Is there a way to set them to detect the correct pressures?

Also how much under correct pressure do these things change colour? I doubt only 1 PSI would cause them to change colour so I think I'll stick to manual tyre pressure checks every 2 weeks.

You have a choice of 4 pressures. I think for the Smart with different pressures front and back 2 packs would be needed.
The first colour change is a 5% drop in pressure. That's when l would be checking mine if not before just to be on the safe side.
The second colour change is at 10%.
Yes I know not a perfect way to do it, but better than never not checking them all.

You wouldn't believe this but I politely asked my niece for the remaining £ 400 she owed me, she then said the brakes were shot and it was going to cost her a lot of money to have them fixed. I said it was serviced a year ago and they never mentioned the brakes.

She's now unfriended me on Facebook but has reluctantly paid. I don't think she appreciates it whatsoever. I should have sold it privately for more to someone else.

Just got the email about this. Feel for you Man. Surprised that they didn't pay for the car until you asked for the remaining monies. It's hardly got any mileage on it, don't feel guilty about it, you did everything that you're garage said you needed. I seem to remember tyres cost a fortune.
I know l see things different from others, but they are really taking the Micheal. Personally l think she's lying to make you feel bad, don't. Good Luck Kenny

Yeah it had new tyres in 2017 at a cost of £ 295.89, I also had the shocks replaced after it was recommended after the service last year that was a couple of hundred too.

I was originally going to let her have it for free, then thought no I’ll ask £ 1000 for it as that would be the minimum I’d get for it part exchange. I could have got more privately but it wasn’t all about the money.

Then I almost let her off the remaining £ 400 but I thought no I’ll beg her for it. I’m glad I did now the ungrateful cow deserves it.
