The engine is from a Camry and so parts are really hard to get a hold off, even new rings will come from America so a crank is a no go, gonna get it polished professionally etc

Just trying to get prices from machine shops etc

Just a pain! But worth doing so will get the crank sorted and the bores done and oversized pistons

In other news I did this.....

Yeah I will do at some point

Cars got no engine and no power to the garage to get a welder there so just a temp job to stop the rust spreading

Been quoted 200 for the rebore and 150 for the crank... Seems expensive!

Found oversized pistons and rings from the states for around 120 quid

Today's plan is to remove the rear brake calipers and give them a good Refurb

That's not a bad price for a bore and crank re-grind as all.

Change the shells while you're there.

I've got new shells direct from toyota in japan, seems they don't make the mains anymore though

I've never done a full rebuild like this before so bottom end stuff is a learning curve for me

Just starting to get expensive when I add it all up but will be worth it in the end
