I know this topic is about his mr2 but just thought l'd mention, his C1 has a newer engine fitted and lots of other mods. In my opinion, just my opinion that makes it worth more. He wants out of it, maybe he'll take what he can get within reason.
They are not going to travel 300 miles to look at a 10 year old Citroën C1. That might be a problem. But if a family wants a learner car, what more can you ask for perfect.
Plastic front and back bumpers all parts are cheap ideal.
Get it sold.

I was gonna sell for like 800 quid

But think I might be doubling that now!

Only downside is the front wing is a slightly different shade of red

Mods will deflate the price, not increase it.

That very much depends on the buyer l feel. And what the modifications are. Surely no one wants the crap original 2006 radio in there with the speakers and 2 door speakers, will that reduce the price?
Matching interior plastic trim parts not sad grey.
If l remember correctly he has a silver backing to the speedometer.

Receipts for work done, even if you have done it yourself you have brought the parts.

Dealers want the cars as standard as possible so they reach the biggest market to sell in.

Yeah that What car? valuation is based on a standard car in good condition. Perhaps your honest description of the car put people off. I wouldn't be so honest in future and just mention the things that you can't avoid mentioning. I wouldn't sell on eBay either.
