We'll meet up and start our journey at garage where we'll fill up. We'll then all drive along a pre determined route of 60-80 miles, ending at another garage. We fill up again and the person who uses the least fuel and gains the highest MPG wins. We will then clear off to the local Berny Inn for sone grub.

There will be a trophy at stake, with your name and the winning MPG engraved upon it so there will be an entry fee of £3 per car to fund this. As such ill need a min of 10 members to make it worth while.

Date, exact rules and location to be set, pending sufficienct interest.

Should be good fun and a genuine chance to compete and show off your skill and economy mods. I'll also see if I can get that French Car Rag interested in an article. A chance for the diseasel owners to get their own back

Rules:

1. Only Citroen C1's, Toyota Aygo's and Peugeot 107s are eligible for entry.

2. Any engine type is permitted.

3. Cars must have their original engine, or a replacement of the same type as original. No transplants.

4. All cars must be road legal in all respects.

5. Each car will be crewed by at least 2 people forming a 'team' of driver and navigator. Additional passengers are permitted.

6. Economy modifications are permitted, so long as they are road legal. Engine, aero, electrical, weight saving etc are all examples of where modification or enhancement is permitted.

7. The cars must run purely on pump-supplied diesel or petrol. The use of water, steam or water vapour as an economy aid is permitted, but the use of supplemental chemicals such as alcohols etc is not.

8. Tyres must not be inflated in excess of 35 PSI cold.
