When i bought my car it was quite cold outside so there was no real chance to check if the A/C worked, now when the temperature has riced it has become obvious that it does not.
Left it at the garage next door to my office for troubleshooting and it turns out that my condensing unit is leaking like crazy, new unit, refill and working costs in total 7.000 SEK or about €672.
Well, now i understand why it was so cheap even though it had only 2.400 kilometers on the odometer. Not the most fun thing to throw money at, but i still think i made quite a good deal on my little bug.

Nasty surprise that, our 107 doesn't have air con, but as you found out it just something expensive to go wrong for me and needs specialist servicing to do it every few years. One reasons we got our 107 all those years ago was didn't have air con as standard as many of it's rivals did. Last year was an exception here, but our usual 2 weeks of hot summer weather I've been able to cope.

FYI the condenser (air con radiator) brand new for the Peugeot 107 is £54.00 here in the UK. That's obviously just the part itself. Might be better for you to buy from the UK and have it shipped to Sweden then find friendly local garage to fit it.

PS. The aircon on my C1 Splash blows ice cold   .

PPS. What do you need aircon in Sweden for? It is snowing for 11 months of the year. :?

Don't think i would be able to find a shop willing to replace my condenser with a unit i have bought myself, not sure if it is hard to do, maybe i could do it myself and just let the garage to do the testing and refill?

I'm jealous.

You might think that's the case, but in the southern parts of sweden it gets quite warm. Last summer was the hottest in many years with 60 days above 25°C in the shadow. (77°F)

Had just washed the car and went searching for some stuff when i found some rattle cans from one of my wife's projects. I thought… if your license plate begins with GLD and you already have gold alloys and gold stickers on the car, it is not suitable with silver accessories on the inside.

So of with the trim pieces…

Yes i know one of the tabs are broken, explains why this trim piece always have been a bit loose.

Speedo trim piece.

And some other trim pieces.

And the finished result.

Overall i'm pretty pleased with the outcome, perhaps the doors got a bit blingy, but i'm planning to try and paint the upper part of the grey plastic in black so it matches the dashboard that is black on the top and grey on the bottom half. I think it will look so much nicer that way.

The gold looks very good actually.

How come you never went for gold on the Speedo surround

Good colour choice, always nice to see something different. I wondered about speedo, but know how you feel I left mine original grey as thought red I did my other trim bits be bit OTT for my speedo surround. Good thing with our cars is, you could buy some scrap car trim and try a colour change, if you don't like put the original trim back one.

Thanks, yes that is one of the things i like with our cars. They are so simple and easy to modify, and since they also are cheap i don't hesitate doing things to it i would never do to my BMW or Volvo.
