Good to hear you got battery sorted, good to hear dealer stepped up and sorted it. Bit worrying factory alarm to blame, is there a fix for it or is it a 'feature' of the car?

I was speaking to a mechanic only yesterday about how many cars these days have unacceptable levels of "parasitic drain" (i.e. components drawing current from the battery when the car is switched off). He reckoned it is becoming more and more common. I guess that makes sense given that cars are increasingly stuffed full of electronic components but many of these situations are the result of faults or poorly designed units.

Doesn't surprise me, unfortunately the days of nice and simple motoring of the early citybugs is gone, even my sister's newer 108 has alot more tech than our 107, nice to have but more to go wrong.

Danner's, what is the viva like compared to your newC1 , 'twas a potential contender before we got our 108.

Its a nice car, leather seats, well equiped. I would say the interior of the viva has a more premium feel to it with less of the scratchy plastic. It drives well and feels a little more powerful.

Cleaned both cars yesterday as the weather was a bit better finally!

Next weeks challenge, sort the leak out in the 107 as the carpets were damp and puddle in the boot. It smells damp as well. ImageImage

In your pics, the 107 looks a brighter yellow than most yellow 107s that I've seen. Is it just an effect of those particular pics or is your one actually a brighter yellow?
