Nice one, I know this situation is a b*mmer, but at least it proves that these little cars are cheap and easy to fix, should the worst happen. The silly thing is if insurance got involved the car would been written off and you'd have a black mark against you, costing more money in future premiums. if only my stepdad's Astra faired as well, that got smacked in car park earlier this year, and dented rear quarter still looks bad, but heyho is MOT'd for another year and mechanically still in good shape! |

That time of year where the roads are muddy around my area. My car is no longer black. I would love to put loads of time into washing but it would end up getting like this in no time! Hopefully christmas brings me a good car washing set! ![]() Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk |

Off topic from this car: but my partners mums car is a 65 plate Vauxhall Viva with only 12000 miles and she has been away and the car has been sat for 2 weeks. She gets back and the cars battery has completely drained to the point where the central locking doesn't work, I can't get a stable voltage reading from it. Once a battery booster was attached and started and driven for half an hour ish It hadn't charged enough for it to start alone. This battery is only 2 years old. Vauxhalls customer service won't help us out either. So our only other option is to get a new battery I think. |

Yep, bit annoying, probably classed as a wear and tear part, so doubt they be keen to help, plus they know as reliable battery is essential for any car, we more likely to buy a new one cos needs must before the dealer get their act together. |

Battery must have been pretty low before she left it. I only start and drive my car once a week and do 23.1 miles non stop, it's never failed to start. Over Christmas I was away and left it for two weeks and it started fine when I got back. Ironically with my 107 because I didn't pass my test until after owning the car for 1.5 years I used to disconnect the battery. All was fine until the day I passed my test, the first time I went out I left the interior light on overnight. Next morning it wouldn't start although the central locking still worked, got some guys round from a local garage and we jump started it. Drove it carefully to the garage where I had the battery charged and had a full service while it was there. |

Sorted the battery with a new one. The dealer she got it from sent someone out as they wanted to see if there was a problem with the car draining the battery, they believe its the factory fitted alarm and immobiliser that did it. So they replaced the battery at no charge Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk |
