Is it feasible to hang a bike rack on the back hatch on the C1 ?

I have seen pictures of them on the roof but never on the tailgate. Why would you want to do this?

I've done it but I didn't like doing it. I felt that the all-glass tailgate felt liable to damage (and probably shattering as a result). However, I managed to attach it with minimal contact on the tailgate and was able to transport a garden bench (don't ask) for about 40 miles with it and I had no problems.

I've just remembered though that the bench needs picking up and carting home again and I still don't have a convenient car to take it inside again. I may have to get the bike rack out again.

The bike rack was just a universal "one size fits all" thing that I got from Halfords many years ago. It's been on everything from a Jeep Cherokee to an MX5.
