I thought people on here with the MMT gearbox may find it useful to know it is possible to reset the gearbox ecu after a clutch change WITHOUT resorting to dealers or purchasing any expensive equipment.

1, Search Google for the Blue Print MMT Technical Bulletin and print it off.

2, BEFORE you strip any parts off the car it is important you follow the instructions carefully and put the clutch actuator in the "clamp" position.

3, Remove the gearbox in the normal way, I found it helpful to remove the radiator to prevent damaging it and to improve access, the gearbox is more difficult to get in and out than the manual version because the actuators add weight and bulk. Replace the clutch and put it all back together again.

4, This is the part that's not in the Blue Print instructions. Loosen the three 12mm headed bolts which hold down the clutch actuator (which will still be in the "clamp" position) on top of the gearbox and slide it in it's slots until the operating rod on the actuator is JUST touching the clutch leaver, there should be NO free play.

5, Continue following the Blue Print instructions.

6, My car is changing gears perfectly, smooth and precise.

It may also be of interest to know I bought two new drive shaft nuts for less than £4 posted from J and R CV Joints via Ebay, these are listed for a Toyota Yaris. They arrived next day, and fit perfectly so a big thumbs up.

I hope you find this is of use.
