I'm looking to buy a C1/107/Aygo 2009-2014 in good condition with working aircon up to 100,000 miles - those are the only absolute requirements - based in Tamworth, Staffs but can travel for the right car - no budget limit as long as priced sensibly.

It looks like everyone is hanging on to their C1/107/Aygo, at least all those in decent condition.

Having looked at several at small dealerships, they were all mega-mileage and or in poor condition - a couple of them were so bad I walked away after a few seconds walking round the car, without even speaking to the salesman.

I'd found a private sale on Autotrader which looked promising but it was in the Leicester lockdown area so I passed on that one - now the numbers on Autotrader have gone right down - on Gumtree and Ebay, no-one seems to write much about their cars, which I take as a bad sign.

People tend to be most "verbal" when they want to complain, so not writing much could be a very good sign?

I take the view that car sellers will tell you everything good about the car and leave anything bad unsaid - saying little or nothing does mean the seller can't be accused of dishonesty but doesn't help the buyer.

My bros a car trader and usually has a c1 aygo or 107 in stock usually with a new clutch fitted too.
He advertises on autotrader as JL Motor company
His contact details: 07537125083 and 02475111631.
If you ring tell him i sent you and he will let you know what he has in stock and will look after ya.

Just checked and looks like he has one in stock with 40k on the clock.

I think he replaced clutch on this earlier this week.

Thanks for the heads up - the 107 he has at the moment is Cat C from 2012 so I'll give that a miss but keep my eye on his stock.

Reflecting on this a bit more, I'll narrow the search to 2011-on models, so it'll be Euro 5, and 5-door models with shorter front doors to make it easier in car parks - there's plenty of high-priced dealer stock but virtually nothing from private sellers on Autotrader.

If I see car adverts with little or no information I would be thinking they are lazy or the car isn’t great.

I am surprised with those Criteria you can't simply pick and choose your car. Ok the A/C might be a slight problem but not too hard to find. 100.000 miles is high, you say it's not a problem ok!
Parts are cheap in the U.K. Any car can be brought up to standard in my opinion. I am curious about what was it that turned you away from the cars that you had a look at without speaking to a salesman.
