Just a heads up for anyone looking for a 64GB USB drive for their aftermarket head unit...

I bought one of these for £ 3.74 ex VAT last week...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00FSDO2FI/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I needed some socks so my order qualified for free delivery. If you can’t make up a qualifying order then the marketplace seller MyMemory are selling them for £ 7.69.

It's amazing how cheap storage is now. You can even get 1TB micro SD cards.

Shame I stream everything now since I get 100gb on my EE plan

My head unit has a limit of 64GB for USB sticks and 32GB for SD cards...

So this 64GB USB drive is ideal and didn't cost the earth.

Devon obviously has better signal coverage than NE Scotland then. My house is just 15 minutes outside Aberdeen and mobile coverage is spotty at best. I could never rely on a phone signal for something I needed while driving around. Personally though, I prefer using my own storage and organising things for myself anyway.

North Devon where I live has pretty poor coverage with many network "not spots" and often no 3G or 4G, so I have to assume that Geary lives in South Devon?

Yeah, though North Devon's alright if you stick to major towns, so just Barny and Bideford

That's fine if you live in one of those and don't want to go anywhere else in the country

Those of us that live out in the sticks gave up with trying to stream and just use the biggest USB stick we can get for music.
